Introduction

 

Ovigil is a new drug and its composition is similar to gonadotropin. Ovigil is not an androgenic or anabolic steroid. It is a synthetic form of a hormone that is a glycoprotein in nature known as human chorionic gonadotropin that is produced by the placenta in pregnancy. This is similar to luteinizing hormone (LH) and it allows secretion of estrogen in the initial few weeks of pregnancy.

This human chorionic gonadotropin stimulates ovulation in females and prevents the corpus luteum fragmentation in the ovary and involves the complete development of placenta.this synthetic hormone ovigil is can be used by both men and women. In men its effects are similar to luteinizing hormone (LH) and stimulates the production of testosterone and used for the treatment of ascended testicles and hypogonadism in young males.

Ovigil Sanzyme is an injectable synthetic hormone that is firstly made by an Indian company known as Sanzyme. This synthetic gonadotropin stimulates the corpus luteum to release the hormone called progestin. Progestin improves the blood vessels and thickens the lining of the uterus and sustain the growing fetus in the placenta.

 

Dosage

 

·        The recommended dosage of ovigil is 500 mg per week 

 

 

·        As synthetic hormone its unit of dose is IU the recommended dose is 2000 IU to 500 IU after every 5 days.

 

 

·        The duration of the course of ovigil should be 3 to 4 weeks

 

 

·        The half-life period od of ovigil is almost 32 hours.

 

 

·        It is used with a combination of other anabolic steroids for better results.

 

 

·        During steroid cycle Ovigil is advised to take for two weeks and the remaining two weeks after the conclusion of the steroid cycle. This pattern is advantageous for proper dosage.
